Results for Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th October

On Saturday seven shooters competed in a 50 clay shotgun event. Mick Reed shot 45 followed by Peter Sinclair 42; Allen Holden 38; Arthur Robinson 36; David Sides 34; David Penny 33.

Sunday saw 23 shooters contest a 50y rimfire group event. In masters class Glenn Seaman was first on an agg of 0.278” from Greg Chapman 0.310 and Rob Cheetham 0.449

In hunting class it was Rob Halloran 0.372 from John Butts 0.389 and Logan Robinson (junior) 0.449.

Glenn shot the small group of the day with a 0.126 although he was closely followed by Greg Chapman 0.191; Rob Halloran 0.194 and Ian Duncan 0.196.

Next Week will be a centrefire 200y group shoot from 10am.

  

Results for Sunday 16th October

Sunday saw shooters compete in a 200y group event under challenging wind conditions. In custom class Rob Cheetham recovered from a pretty ordinary first target to put down four good ones and win with an aggregate ot 1.252 inches. He was followed by Roy Ewin (junior) 1.455 and John Butts 1.874.

In hunting class Glenn Seaman and Mick Reed fought it out with Mick victorious on 1.533 from Glenn on1.741. Then Alan Denton 1.968; Alan Constable 2.073; Bruce Milne 2.087; Lizzie McDonell (junior) 2.774; John Buik 3.033. Arthur Robinson fell victim to a mixed batch of ammunition (should have given it to granddaughter!)

Sunday 23rd will be centrefire field rifle from 10am followed by centrefire lever action.

Results for Sunday 23rd October

Centerfire field rifle was won by Glenn Seaman on 351 from a possible 400 then Frank Cohn 349.1; Clayton Hogno 321.3 and Arthur Robinson 243.1.

In centrefire lever rifle it was Frank Cohn on 281.5 followed by Clayton Hogno 252; Hamish Tait 247.1; Glenn Seaman212.2; Louis Gosfield 206 and Arthur Robinson 199.4.

There will not be any competition on the 30th as it is the 5th Sunday but the range will be open as normal.

Saturday the 5th will be a working bee from 9am and shotguns from 1.30.

Sunday the 6th will be military range rifle from 10am.

Our annual charity shoot will be on December 4. You do not need a shooters licence to take part – just ‘photo ID (eg drivers licence) juniors (must be 12 or older) welcome. All proceeds to Riding for the Disabled.

Our annual presentation will be at the Rules Club on Wednesday the 7th December. The lucky winner of the shotgun donated by Power Ammo will be drawn on the night. Get your tickets before it is too late!

Results for Saturday 5th, Sunday 6th and Sunday 13th November

Saturday the 5th  saw 10 gunners contest a 50 clay event.  Competition was tight at the top with Alan Holden and Peter Sinclair on 36 and Arthur Robinson on 35.On Sunday the 6th  Peter Smith on 191.6 was top gun in the military range rifle event.  He was followed by David Wade 187.3; Clayton Hogno 144.2 and Terry Robinson 142.1.

Meanwhile John Butts, Roy Ewin, Bob Wright and Don Ewin travelled to Little River in Victoria to contest the Nesika Cup which was the second leg of the Victorian 500m fly championship.  In light gun (17lb or less) Bob Wright was placed fourth and Roy Ewin second.  When the two legs of the Vic championship were combined Roy was junior Victorian champion and placed third overall.  Impressive for a 14 year old junior.

Sunday the 13th was a high scoring 50y rimfire score match.  In masters class only two points separated the four – Glenn Seaman from Carlo Zuliani, Maddi Zuliani and Rob Cheetham. In hunting class it was a win for John Butts on 248.9 from Rob Halloran and Mick Reed.  Among the juniors Maddi Zulliani showed a clean set of heels on 248.5 from Roy Ewin 240.5 and Logan Robinson 236.1.Sunday the 20th will be a 100y centrefire group shoot from  10am.

Our annual charity shoot (rimfires only on the day)   will be on December 4.  You do not need a shooters licence to take part – just ‘photo ID (eg drivers licence) juniors (must be 12 or older) welcome.  All proceeds to Riding for the Disabled.-

Results for Sunday 20th November

Sunday was a 100y centrefire group shoot. In custom class the honours went to Roy Ewin (junior) on 0.377 followed by Greg Chapman 0.401 and John Butts on 0.520.In hunting class Mick Reed showed good form to card 0.582; then Bruce Milne 0.691; Arthur Robinson 0.755; Alan Constable 0.998; Gary Moore 1.175; Matt Woolnough 1.545; David Wade 1.757 and Don Power 1.900.

Sunday the 27th will be rimfire field from  10am, followed by rimfire silhouette. – this will be our last competition shoot for the year.
